Interested in volunteering for Albuquerque Heading Home? Volunteers are the lifeblood of our initiative and we’re always in need of passionate people willing to make a difference in our community.
If you’re interested volunteering, contact Robert Nelson at (505) 344-2323 or email at [email protected]. We also host a Volunteer Orientation every first Monday of each month at 3:30p at 715 Candelaria Rd NE. Here are some opportunities to connect with:
- Move-in Teams: Every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 1p-4p, we gather teams of volunteers to help folks move in to new homes.
- Home Teams: Interested in building community? This may be the opportunity for you! People moving into new homes often struggle to stabilize into housing. Home Teams are here to help build social support systems to build relationships. Home Teams provide rides to appointments, help around the house, or even go have coffee.
- Inventory Control: Albuquerque Heading Home receives donations of gently-used furniture and other household items every month and we need to keep it organized. If you’re interested in helping out, we need volunteers to help with sorting donations and creating care packages every Friday morning from 9a-11a.
