We have some great volunteer opportunities for move-ins this month. But first, thank you to all of you who have helped make a difference in the lives of our housed. All in all, we helped 14 people with furniture and housewares this past month! We’re seeing a lot of volunteer engagement and participation, so let’s keep it going! - Pickup of furniture from an Estate Sale on 9/10 and 9/11 in the morning after 11a to transport to city storage. These items will be used for our 2nd Friday Delivery on 9/14. We’ll need at least two trucks and 4-5 volunteers.
- Inventory and assembly of houseware packages - Each Friday, we assemble care packages for folks, which include linens, kitchen and bathroom items and a microwave. We need help not only assembling these, but if you know someone who’s willing to donate cardboard boxes for packaging, that would also be appreciated! We need 2-3 volunteers for this activity on the morning of the 2nd or 4th Friday of this month.
- Regular 2nd and 4th Friday Deliveries - We’re still looking for 4-5 volunteers to help deliver furniture and pickup donations for 9/14 and 9/28 from 1-4p.
